Here are some simple steps and information to consider to begin the process of creating a plan to ensure your pet is always cared for, even after you’re gone.

Complete a Pet Alert Wallet Card.
This card will alert authorities that you have pets at home who need to be cared for and list emergency contacts to notify if something happens to you.

Create a Pet Profile for each of your pets.
Pull together all of the information about each of your pets that would be important for any potential caregiver in your absence. Include information about food, habits, medications and veterinary care, and behavior. Keep this information in a safe but accessible place with other important document.
