Too Hot for Spot

The dog days of summer are right around the corner, but that also means rising temperatures, especially inside parked cars. Even leaving your pet in the car for “just a minute” to run an errand can put them in danger. On a warm day, the temperature inside a parked car can reach 120° F in just a few minutes—even with the windows partially open. Pets can't withstand these high temperatures—they can cause irreparable organ damage and even death. Luckily, such tragic consequences are preventable. Take the Too Hot for Spot Pledge to keep your own pet safe, and learn how you can take action to save other pets locked in hot cars. Sign the pledge to never leave your pet in a car. You’ll be saving lives!
