Diamond
Lollypop Farm
Diamond is just as much of a jewel as her name, and lots more fun to have around. This girl loves to cuddle, but she also enjoys a nice walk. She's housetrained and crate trained, though she's such a good dog that she hasn't used her crate in a while. She's made a nice start on her training, and will already sit, lie down and come when asked. She enjoys her treats, so she'll do well with positive-reinforcement training. You can build your bond with her and teach her the rest of the basics at the same time. Win-win! Got kids? She's lived with newborns to school-age children and loved them all. Before she goes home we'll introduce her to the entire household here, so we can start everyone off on the right foot. She's not a big fan of other animals, though, and would likely do best as an only pet. No cats or small animals for sure, and she'd probably prefer to be an only dog, too. Careful matchmaking here at the shelter would be a must if you already have a dog at home. Diamond has been a star in our Doggy Day Out program. Her fosters-for-the-day say she's a "sweetie, a "sweetiepie, and "very sweet and loving. I think there's a very positive pattern there! She also enjoyed riding in the car on her outings. Just keep her in the backseat or have a passenger to hang onto the leash, because she seems to think she should be the driver. As if all that weren't great enough, there's one more fact you should know. Because she's older than six, Diamond is part of our senior-for-senior program. That means she's a free adoption for anyone who's sixty or older. Are you ready to add this jewel to your home? Why not head out here to the shelter to meet her and our other available dogs? Love could be waiting just a car ride away.
