Dallas
Lollypop Farm
If Dallas placed a personal ad, it might read like this: Energetic two-year-old is full of love, seeks new home with lots of opportunities for walks and playtime, treats galore and - of course - plenty of petting. Older children a plus. Canine and feline siblings optional. Dallas is a man of mystery. We asked him about his life before he arrived here at Lollypop Farm, but he's not talking. We do know that he loves people, especially because in his mind people = treats and attention. His love of treats means he'll be a willing pupil when it comes to training. He's already learned to sit and walk on a harness. Additional training will help him bond with his new family while learning the rest of his commands. Training and mental enrichment - puzzle toys and games - along with training and exercise, are all good ways to help him burn off energy, too. We think Dallas will do best in a home where any children are at least twelve years old. We'll have you bring the whole family here to the shelter to meet him so we can be sure everyone fits together well. We don't know how he feels about other animals, so we'd also like to introduce him here to any dogs who are already part of your family to be sure they start off on the right paw. If you're a cat household, ask your counselor for tips on at-home intros to encourage inter-species harmony. Could Dallas be the dog you've been searching for? We'd love to see you here at the shelter to meet him and our other available dogs. Who knows? You might find yourself traveling home with a furry brand-new family member.
