At Lollypop Farm we believe every horse deserves the chance to live out their lives with loving care. But we also know that owning a horse is costly, and wanting to add a companion for a lone horse can be financially challenging. At Lollypop Farm, horses who are wonderful, however not rideable, wait for months and sometimes years for their second chance. The Compassionate Aid for Retired Equine or C.A.R.E. Foster Program seeks to make it easier for our equine community to provide for these beautiful horses together.
As a C.A.R.E. foster volunteer, you will have the opportunity to give a homeless horse a long-term foster home. While your horse is with you, you’ll hand in proof of purchases for the expenses associated with providing for your equine friend to Lollypop Farm. In return, you’ll receive receipts that can be handed in as a charitable contribution while filing your taxes for the opportunity for a write-off. It’s just our way of helping to make your compassion for homeless horses a little less “taxing” on your wallet.
