Lollypop Farm Celebrates 20th Anniversary of the Tails of Hope Telethon

Fairport, NY — On Saturday, April 16th, Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, will be holding the 20th Anniversary Tails of Hope Telethon. The six-hour event aims to raise $300,000 to support the organization and pets in need.

“Community support is critical to providing a better future for homeless and abused animals,” says Alice Calabrese, President and CEO of Lollypop Farm. “Every year we take in thousands of animals who need veterinary intervention, food, shelter, and other forms of care while they are with us. Events like the Telethon help provide Lollypop Farm the funds to ensure every pet has their best chance to find a new home.”

The Tails of Hope Telethon will broadcast live from Eastview Mall on 13WHAM, CW Rochester, and 13wham.com from 3:00-9:00 p.m. The six-hour event will feature video vignettes looking back on past adoptions, live interviews with experts and supporters, and meet and greets with some of Lollypop Farm’s adoptable pets. The community is welcome to join Lollypop Farm at Eastview Mall to see the action in person.

Lollypop Farm has been helping pets and people in the community since 1873 and operates out of its 136-acre campus in Fairport, NY, where it houses its main adoption facility, veterinary clinic, and provides outreach programs for the community. Lollypop Farm also supports a Humane Law Enforcement Department to investigate animal cruelty cases in Monroe, Orleans, Livingston, and Genesee counties.

Donations are being accepted online before the Tails of Hope Telethon. Please visit www.lollypop.org/telethon2016 or call (585) 223-1330 for more information.
