The Pets Are Welcome program is another step toward our goal of becoming a Shelter of Hope for unwanted animals. The goal of the program is to find more homes for adoptable animals by encouraging pet owners and landlords to work together to find solutions for pet housing problems.
The P.A.W. program publishes The Rochester Pet Friendly Apartment List. This list identifies nearly 150 apartment complexes throughout the county that currently allow pets.
Landlords and tenants seeking advice about pets in public housing are encouraged to contact The Humane Society for additional information including Pet Lease and Pet Policy examples. Call Craig Walker at 585-223-1330 x251.
