Summer R.E.A.D.ing ® at Lollypop Farm

edu - Freeport the dog and R.E.A.D. studentLooking for something fun and different for your kids to do this summer?  Bring them to Lollypop Farm to R.E.A.D.® to the dogs!

Our R.E.A.D. ® program allows children to read out loud to dogs in a non-judgmental and relaxed environment where they can work on their reading skills without the pressures of peers or criticism. The dogs lend an eager ear and a wagging tail!

This program is geared towards elementary aged children. During the half-hour session, children can read their own book out loud to their dog volunteer or they can borrow a book from the Lollypop Farm library.

Register for Summer R.E.A.D.
Choose one half-hour session from the following Summer R.E.A.D. dates. Registration is required to participate for $5 per child.  Siblings can read together.

July 22, July 29, August 5, or August 12
3:00-3:30 p.m. or 3:30-4:00 pm. on each date

Register here. Space is limited so sign-up now! If a date/time is not available on the form, then the session is full.

*There is sometimes a waiting list so we would like to ask that you let us know if you are no longer going to be able to come.  We want as many children who are interested to have a chance to read to the dogs.  Please contact Nicole Hirsch, Director of Outreach Programs at 585-223-1330 ext. 226 or hirsch@lollypop.org .  Thank you!
