Pets that are not spayed or neutered can add to the severe pet overpopulation problem when they are allowed to breed. Lollypop Farm wants to help put an end to pet overpopulation.
Pet owners who cannot afford to have their pet spayed or neutered may call Lollypop Farm at (585) 223-1330, ext. 150 or fill out our SNIP application request form to find out about the Spay Neuter Incentive Program (SNIP). SNIP provides financial assistance to help low-income Monroe County New York pet owners with a portion of the cost to spay or neuter a pet. If you qualify for the program, you will receive a voucher that can be used at a participating veterinary hospital. You are responsible for paying the amount not covered by the voucher.
To be eligible for assistance, you must:
- Be a resident of Monroe County, New York.
- Meet established program income limits
- Receive, complete and return SNIP application.
- Provide proof of income and residency along with your application
- Pet must be at least 4 months old
- Assistance is limited to 2 animals per household, per year
This program only provides assistance for dog or cat spay or neuter surgeries. Vouchers are only good for one month and must be used before the expiration date. Otherwise, you will be required to re-apply for the program.
How to Apply for SNIP: To request an application, please either call (585) 223-1330, extension 150 or fill out our SNIP application request form. Please do not do both as it will cause duplicate mailings.
